2011 Street Glide PowerPak Upgrades – Harley Davidson Forums …

Finally got my 2011 Street Glide with the PowerPak option last week and already thinking of what I want to add first. got the usual option from the dealer of any items I buy and have them install in the next 60 days would be covered under the factory warranty. Really thinking about the SE 103 cams but not sure what else I would need to upgrade at the same time. I assume an air intake and possibly headers and mufflers to get the maximum performance but not sure if I would have to do when the cams are installed or catch them at a later date. of all things the wife said she wants the bike to have a deeper sound and be louder so I told her she could buy the pipes. I dont want it so loud the neighbors complain every time I take it out but something with that rips when you get on it would be cool.
Let me know what the experts on here think and what parts you may be able to recommend from past experiences or upgrades.

Why do people sell used Harley Davidson Parts? | Used Harley …

This web site is about used Harley Davidson parts – to have used parts there needs to be some people wanting to sell parts – so the question is, why would you sell parts?
There are a variety of reasons why people would choose to sell parts – and they are just as true for Harley Davidson parts as any other parts, be they car, bike, computer, or anything really – the reasons are the same.
It could be that you had a little crash on your bike (hope you are ok!), and the bike itself is written off but some of the parts are salvageable. you may have just picked up a bargain at the local scrap heap, or a local garage sale (someone is selling an old rust bucket – one man’s rubbish is another man’s gold
)
More likely reason perhaps is that you are just wanting to upgrade your bike and are selling off a few used pieces here and there so that you can get some cash in to by some more bits and pieces!! or maybe you are bored with the current restoration project, and fancy a change, and have bought some parts that you don’t need – and so that you can afford to spend money on the next project, raise some cash by selling something that you already have.
So it comes down to really a couple of things – making some extra money (rather than just throwing it away) and making room for your next project. So the next question which we will cover more fully in a another article – is how do you sell used Harley parts?
Well, before the dawn of the Internet this would have been a very difficult prospect as the market is quite limited – maybe a garage sale, or the odd mail order catalogue may have bought them from you – maybe a classified section in the local paper. now there are some many different places to sell stuff on line, but ebay is the main one (or maybe craigs list) – that you can sell almost as easily as buy these days.
If you have an old bike which isn’t as common anymore then the parts may be sold at a bit of a premium as people will be willing to pay more for them due to their scarcity. but this is just typical supply and demand economics – no school lessons here!
Well that just about ties up this article, so happy selling – go out and make some money for your next Harley project
