Harley Davidson holds Tifton groundbreaking

TIFTON — the Tifton Mayor and Chamber of Commerce, along with Harley-Davidson employees and patrons, celebrated Tifton Harley-Davidson’s expansion at a recent groundbreaking ceremony. the golden shovels were brought out to dig toward what will be the only authorized Harley-Davidson expansion of 2010.

Tifton Mayor J.G. Carter Jr. gave a light-hearted speech, wishing Tifton H-D the best of luck. After the speeches were finished, and the shovels hit the dirt, a shower of balloons was followed by the sounds of burnout tricks and thunderous applause. A delicious catered lunch was provided by the Hilton Garden Inn.

The ceremony has launched the enormous expansion of the Tifton Harley-Davidson location from 8,136 sq. ft. to 29,597 sq. ft. A never-before-designed, second-story event deck will be added. At 7,329 sq. ft., the deck will include a state-of-the-art band stage and plenty of party space. the expansion will also allow Tifton H-D to triple the amount of bikes on display, bringing the total to 200-plus. the three service bays will become eight, and more fabulous Genuine MotorClothes apparel and Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories will be available to customers.
